Website revamped to reflect new VK2SRO callsign

through the air...

introduction

Welcome to the VK2SRO Website...

Contains information associated with experimentation/operation in the Amateur Radio bands.

Of special interest to myself are the LF bands (see LF Experiments below), narrowband communication techniques and the technical aspects of amateur radio.

Use the tabs above to navigate.

NOTE: Any investigations and experiments of a technical nature are to be found under "Experiments/Technical".

My overriding interest has been narrowband communications.   I have a long history of involvement in this area (especially in the VK2ZTO days - see links below) and continue to be fascinated with what can be "seen" using ultra narrowband (bandwidths of 1Hz and down).

Currently operational on 160m to 6m.

about past ACTIVITIES (VK2zto)...

In the period between the 10th April, 1967 and the 25th May, 2007 I held the call VK2ZTO.   Click here to go to information (archived PDF file) about activities associated with that callsign, including narrowband modes, invention of IFK (basis of Jason & DominoEX) and VFSKCW, VLF (8975Hz) experiments, HiFer experiments (13Mhz ISM band), Telluric Currents (sped up and converted into sound files), Laser Communications, etc, etc....   Over 3MB of archived information...

lF experiments (145.5kHz & 177.5kHz)

Also held a Scientific Assigned Licence for 145.5kHz and 177.5kHz from February 1999 to February 2004 under the station name of AXSO.

Click on thumbnail below to view AXSO Apparatus Licence (61kByte)....
